Apple’s New MacBook Neo
Apple recently introduced a new budget laptop called the MacBook Neo, and it’s been getting a lot of discussion online. The idea is a cheaper MacBook, starting around $599, aimed more at students or people who just need a basic laptop. It also seems designed to compete with Chromebooks and cheaper Windows laptops, which is something Apple normally doesn’t focus on. One thing that surprised me is that the Neo doesn’t use Apple’s usual Mac chips. Instead, it runs on the A18 Pro chip, which is an iPhone processor. Because of that, some people online are questioning how well it will perform compared to the MacBook Air. Another thing to mention is the 8GB of RAM in the base model. For basic tasks like browsing, email, and documents, it’s probably fine, but many users online think it might feel limiting for heavier multitasking.
Opinions are pretty mixed. Some people think it’s a good entry-level Mac for everyday use, while others say they’d rather spend a little more and get a more powerful MacBook Air. Overall, the MacBook Neo is designed for light use. It’s cheaper than most Apple laptops, but like many budget devices, it comes with some downsides.
