How I Use My iPhone Camera Like a Pro (Kind Of)
It’s summer, and that means one thing: we’re all taking a lot more photos. Trips, friends, food, sunsets… everything looks better in the sun. I use my iPhone for all of it. Some pics turn out great; others, not so much. But over time, I’ve found a few tricks that make my photos look way better.
Tap to Focus
Before I take a photo, I tap on the screen where I want it to focus. This makes the picture sharper. If you tap and hold, you can lock the focus, too, which is ideal for videos or when the subject is moving.
Clean the Lens
This sounds simple, but it works. Sometimes my camera looks cloudy just because the lens has dust or fingerprints.
Use the Grid
In settings, I have my grid turned on. This helps me line things up better. I use it to keep the horizon straight or center my subject. It makes a big difference.
Use Live Photos
Sometimes when taking a photo, someone is blinking or looking away. If I have Live Photos on, I can choose a better frame. It’s saved me more than once.
